 This is a question we get asked all the time when it come to hair extensions and the answer is really simple. Hair Extensions will not damage your hair as long as you abide by three key rules:

1. You have the right method fitted for your hair type.
2. you have the Extensions fitted safely and correctly.
3. You follow all the maintenance advice given

Initial fitting usually take between 1 and 4 hours depending on the type of method being fitted and the amount being added.

Our hair extensions start at 16inches and go all the way up to 24inches. We can discuss your desired length at your consultation appointment.

At Thick and Long we offer three methods, which include Beaded Weft, Micro Rings and Nano Rings,

which are the leading methods in the industry for longevity, safe installation and safe removal.

All of our methods are reuseable making them excellent value for money.

With the correct maintenance and aftercare your Hair Extensions should last up to 12months

If you'd like to remove your Hair Extensions, please contact us for an appointment at the salon.

We do not advise taking your Hair Extensions out of the hair yourself, as this could damage your natural hair.

The process is relatively quick and takes between 30mins -1 hour

As your natural hair grows, your Hair Extensions will move further away from your roots. During your maintenance/ refit appointment, we carefully remove your hair extensions and place them back up to the roots. Regular maintenance appointments ensure your natural hair and your Hair Extensions are kept secure, safe and looking their best.

We will advise you at your fitting how regularly you will need to attend your maintenance appointments.

This is normally 8-10 weeks after your initial Hair Extensions fitting.

This is personal preference. Most of our clients have a new set of extensions on the same day as the removal of their previous hair extensions.
